Banja Luka

Banja Luka or Banjaluka is the administrative capital and the largest city of Republika Srpska, and the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Banja Luka or Banjaluka (Cyrillic: &񕭁&񕭠&񕮊&񕭠 &񕭋&񕭳&񕭪&񕭠, pronounced: /&讄ba&謪a&讀lu&讈ka/) is the administrative capital and the largest city of Republika Srpska, and the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has traditionally been the center of the Bosanska Krajina region. It is located in the northwest of the country, on the Vrbas river. Banja Luka seats the Government of the Republika Srpska, National Assembly of the Republika Srpska, and the University of Banja Luka. Numerous Republika Srpska and several Bosnia and Herzegovina institutions are also in Banja Luka. The city is well-known in the former Yugoslavia for being full of tree-lined avenues, gardens, and parks.
